About Norvik

Now proudly operated by Meatex Ltd

Norvik has been producing quality frozen food products in Grimsby for over 25 years. Now under the ownership of Meatex Ltd, the Norvik name continues — with the same commitment to value, consistency, and service that our customers have trusted for decades.

Our Humber Street site is a SALSA approved production facility specialising in frozen, ready-to-cook products for the wholesale and foodservice sectors. From fishcakes and fish fingers to traditional Hull patties and bespoke lines, everything is made on-site by an experienced team who know the trade inside out.

We work with wholesalers, distributors, and manufacturing partners across the UK and internationally, offering flexible production runs, private-label services, and competitive factory-direct pricing.

There’s nothing plain about Jane. As Sales Manager, she’s closing deals by day and hitting the gym by night. Known for her sharp wardrobe, quick wit, and serious work ethic, Jane keeps the sales team on its toes – and the office looking a little classier.

Paul Lambert

Factory Manager

Paul’s been part of the Norvik family for years and now runs the show as Factory Manager. He keeps the place ticking like clockwork (most of the time), making sure everything gets made, packed, and out the door on time. Outside of work, he’s a full-time family man with six kids — so coming to work might actually be the easy part.

Liam Vardy

Liam’s the wise one – calm, organised, and the go-to guy for anything technical (unless it involves a cooker or a fridge, which still baffle him). With a sharp head for business and a talent for fixing problems before they start, Liam keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes.

Accreditations

At Norvik, food safety and quality are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Grimsby-based production facility operates under strict controls to ensure every product meets the highest standards of hygiene, traceability, and consistency.

SALSA Approved

We are fully certified by SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval), a food safety certification scheme recognised across the UK food industry and supported by the British Retail Consortium. This ensures that all our systems and processes comply with rigorous food safety and legal requirements.

Frozen Food Specialists

All products are produced, packed, and frozen on-site. This gives us full control over quality and ensures minimal handling and maximum freshness from factory to customer.

HACCP Systems

Our operations are built on a robust HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) framework. This systematic approach allows us to identify and manage potential food safety risks at every stage of production.

Full Traceability & Legal Compliance

We maintain detailed records, batch tracking, and supplier assurance to ensure complete product traceability. Our systems are regularly reviewed and audited to meet both regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Sustainably Sourced Fish

At Norvik, we are committed to sourcing seafood responsibly. As part of the Meatex group, we work closely with trusted suppliers to ensure the fish used in our products is sourced from sustainable, well-managed fisheries.

We aim to protect marine ecosystems while meeting the needs of our customers in the wholesale and foodservice sectors.

Responsible Sourcing Standards

  • We prioritise suppliers who are MSC-certified (Marine Stewardship Council) or operate under equivalent sustainability schemes

  • Products are sourced in line with UK and EU import regulations for responsible fishing

  • We avoid overfished or endangered species and favour fisheries with clear stock management and traceability

Transparency & Traceability

All seafood entering our facility is fully traceable from source to finished product. We work to ensure every supply chain meets ethical, environmental, and food safety standards.

We believe sustainability isn’t just good practice — it’s good business.
